About This Game From Valve (the creators of Counter-Strike, Half-Life and more) comes Left 4 Dead, a co-op action horror game for the PC and Xbox 360 that casts up to four players in an epic struggle for survival against swarming zombie hordes and terrifying mutant monsters. Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, L4D's survival co-op mode lets you blast a path through the infected in four unique “movies,” guiding your survivors across the rooftops of an abandoned metropolis, through rural ghost towns and pitch-black forests in your quest to escape a devastated Ground Zero crawling with infected enemies. Each "movie" is comprised of five large maps, and can be played by one to four human players, with an emphasis on team-based strategy and objectives. New technology dubbed "the AI Director" is used to generate a unique gameplay experience every time you play. The Director tailors the frequency and ferocity of the zombie attacks to your performance, putting you in the middle of a fast-paced, but not overwhelming, Hollywood horror movie. Addictive single player, co-op, and multiplayer action gameplay from the makers of Counter-Strike and Half-Life Versus Mode lets you compete four-on-four with friends, playing as a human trying to get rescued, or as a zombie boss monster that will stop at nothing to destroy them.See how long you and your friends can hold out against the infected horde in the new Survival ModeAn advanced AI director dynamically creates intense and unique experiences every time the game is played 20 maps, 10 weapons and unlimited possibilities in four sprawling "movies" Matchmaking, stats, rankings, and awards system drive collaborative play Designer's Commentary allows gamers to go "behind the scenes" of the game Powered by Source and Steam THE SACRIFICE"The Sacrifice” is the new add-on for Left 4 Dead."The Sacrifice" is the prequel to "The Passing," and takes place from the L4D Survivors' perspective as they make their way South. The Dark Souls of Zombie Games. Great Game But The Second Makes This pretty much Irrelevant only buy if you are an achievement hunter. mainly played on console, has always been a good game, will always been a good game highly reccomended. played this for months on Xbox 360. awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Great game, pretty bad community. Lots of games you get kicked as soon as you join....Also many hackers nowadays. I still recommend it, great times can still be found.. 7\/10-Got this game in a Steam Summer Sale Pack, while getting CSGO. Really good game, made even better by L4D2. Cool characters and relationships, fun maps, cool zombies. Everything about this game is fun, and was expanded upon in the second game. While the L4D2 makes this game somewhat obsolete, as all of the content of this game is in the second, and more, this is where it all started, making this game more important. Not worth the money anymore, but still a great game. If you want this game, buy Left for Dead 2 instead.. Should have been left for dead. It doesn't come close to Valves groundbreaking A$$-Portal game.. Just like with the second Left 4 Dead, I got bored very quickly. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, it just means it isn't for me. I can see why people still play it and have fun though. If I had played this around the time it came out I would have more then likely loved it, but I've played so many higher end and better games to present date that I just don't find myself having that much fun with it.
