CISA is issuing this guidance to help government and private sector partners clarify the scope of critical infrastructure and protect the health and safety of key personnel who are essential in operating critical systems and assets as communities enter new phases of restrictions due to the increased number of infections. Critical infrastructure requires continuity and resilience to maintain the health and economic wellbeing of communities and the Nation. This continuity will require coordination between government and private sector to ensure key employees are able to work safely.
Non-Essential Personnel download
The Non-FAU Essential Personnel information is managed by the Department of Emergency Management. Non-FAU Essential Personnel are personnel who perform critical operations, functions, and tasks for the University but, are employed through contract service providers.
All University units that oversee and/or manage the contracts for such services are responsible for ensuring that Non-FAU Essential Personnel information is up-to-date. Service providers must ensure their personnel are ready and able to provide contracted services during a suspension of normal operations.
A list of personnel will be provided to FAU PD for access control purposes. All Non-FAU Essential Personnel will need to present a current, active form of identidication, such as a driver's license to gain access to FAU's sites and campuses.

Purdue administrators and public safety officials are working with city and county personnel to actively monitor the winter storm, and they ask everyone to remain aware of changing conditions. We will return to normal campus operating status for Monday (Feb. 7). Should that status change, information will be communicated via email, social media and area media as soon as possible.
Predesignated essential personnel should operate under their department procedures. Nonessential personnel should work remotely if possible and not report to campus for any shifts before noon Saturday (Feb. 5). The campus adverse weather procedures are available online (pdf).
Earlier today, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced he is signing the "New York State on PAUSE" executive order, a 10-point policy to assure uniform safety for everyone. It includes a new directive that all non-essential businesses statewide must close in-office personnel functions effective at 8PM on Sunday, March 22. Commanders and directors will manage early release within their units based on mission requirements. All base personnel are reminded to practice sound risk management and to coordinate their release time with their respective supervisors.Essential personnel are the minimum number required to keep critical base activities functioning. These include, but are not limited to firefighters, security forces, command and control, snow removal, medical, and designated shift personnel.Due to this early release, Hill Air Force Base is also closed to any non-essential shift workers. The base will resume normal operations, subject to previously established holiday hours, at 12:01 a.m. Nov. 28.
Following a nationwide trend (including California, Delaware, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and other states), Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced he will be issuing a safer-at-home order in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Governor Evers stated he would issue the order on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. This order will close all non-essential businesses in the state of Wisconsin and encourage all non-essential workers to stay home, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
NOTICE: Due to the COVID-19 crisis, on March 17, 2020, the Fife City Manager ordered that all city buildings be closed to the public until further notice, as well as ordering all non-essential employees to stay home. This means that until those buildings are reopened, there will be the following impacts on requesting records:
A government shutdown closes non-essential government operations due to a lack of funding, whereas a sequester or sequestration is shorthand for the reductions in discretionary spending caps that were in place up until FY 2021 that constrained the total amount of funding for annually appropriated programs.
However, several states have taken their own approach on whether law firms provide essential or non-essential services. Being an essential business means that your physical locations can remain open and that employees may travel to and from the office. Working remotely is still recommended for essential businesses, but it may not be required.

Find someone with the right skills for a job that could have technical, logistical, organizational, and communications challenges. EHS or HR personnel may be well-suited. They should be adept at responding to employee and stakeholder questions and concerns and be well-positioned to coordinate with management, human resources, employees, and labor representatives, as appropriate.
