Please don't judge me. It's my little girl whose playing the game not me. I would definitely give this a flaming thumbs down if it weren't for my kid playing this game as I clean our bathroom. The 9 hours is part of my total bathroom cleaning time. 10/10 would have their kids play this as they clean.. Much more buggy than Woodle Tree Adventures, multiplayer doesn't work, kept glitching, certain areas impossible to reach, sadly refunded.:(. Woodle Tree is back in Woodle Tree 2: Worlds. This time, Woodle Tree's home has been invaded by an evil force and you have to fight them and beat them into submission in any brutal fashion (using your handy leaf) and send them back where they came from! This game is a cute 3D platformer/adventure game, with a number of collectible items and berries. I enjoy the open world, though the long loading times annoy me a bit. Thankfully, they don't come up very often. I'm running a very high-end PC, so I'm a little surprised at the load times, but it's not a big deal.I am very thankful for the tutorial path ahead of your home, not too far from your starting point. It gives visual depictions showing you what certain things do and how to perform actions and special moves. Unfortunately, since they are images, if you reassign your keys or mouse buttons, the ones in the image will not be the one triggering the action. This can't be avoided. It's a lot of fun to run around, whack bad guys (or even guys just chillin' minding their own business), and collect berries to get weapon upgrades, defense upgrades, and other perks. Woodle Tree 2 has a pretty decent drawing distance, but I wish it could draw as much as your computer can handle. I'd be able to render and see the entire Woodle universe. :)There are a couple of bugs. A minor one is that occasionally certain NPCs can walk through solid surfaces (like walking into the side of a raised patch of dirt) and occasionally you can walk through what looks like a wall. This could be intentional, but I'm not sure. The other bug (and this one is more serious) is that if you respawn after dying, and you attack an enemy that you already killed and respawned when you did, your attacks go right through it and don't harm it. I'm sure this is easily fixed and will be fixed before long.Good things to look forward to are unlimited lives (you respawn at the last checkpoint you triggered, clearly marked as a stump on the ground with a swirl inside it), unlimited ammo, more than a dozen upgrades and unlocks, a number of different enemies, a HUGE open world to explore, and collectibles that unlock furnishings and decorations for your house. I have no idea if the decorations are purely cosmetic or if they serve a purpose/function, but they don't seem to do anything. It's neat seeing them in your house, though.PROS:-------+ Unlimited lives (uses a checkpoint system)+ Massive amount of places and space to explore+ Several upgrades and unlockable perks+ Many collectibles+ Interesting and helpful tutorial area near your starting point+ Cute and very nice graphics without requiring a workhorse PC+ The areas I've explored so far are distinct from one another and easy to distinguish+ Excellent price for the amount of fun you can have with itCONS:-------- Still a couple of bugs to work out, but no big deal considering it's Early Access- Hitboxes seem slightly off (but mostly in your favor)- Can be a bit tricky to control your Woodle Tree and the camera until you get used to itOverall:If you like cute platformers like Super Mario 64 but want a lighter, simpler version, this can be the ticket. What are you going to do with $4 instead of buying this game? You can buy half of a beer at a sporting event, one combo meal at McDonald's (or not even a full one), or a small coffee at Starbuck's. This game will give you hours and hours of fun and it's about the price of 2 gallons of gasoline in the USA.This game will take you farther than 2 gallons of gasoline.. I don't know what this game is, but I absolutely love it. The graphics are really good, they look fantastic in all aspects. Everything in the game is adorably cute and it is super pleasant all the way through. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, or where to go, but it seems as though its open to the player's choice to do what they want to complete the task at hand. All in all, beautiful game.. I know this is early access and that's exactly why I'm giving it a thumbs down right now. The game has a lot of potential to be great, but it is far from it. It is better than the first, but there is a lot more work needed to be done than the one month that the dev states in the early access description. The game doesn't feel good to control. The animations of the character lag, making movement awkward. The leaf attack is difficult to use because of how long the delay is between the button press and the animation\/attack. This is especially true of the shot, I often fire in the wrong direction because I turn after the animation ends but the water droplet fires even later. Those issues combined with the way you get stunned make combat extremely painful.Right Trigger is implied to warp you back to the start according to an in game sign but it does nothing. I had to hold E on my keyboard to warp.I might be missing it but I'm not seeing a HUD anywhere. There are a lot of areas that seemed like side paths that I could explore that were just simply dead ends. Filling the world with more collectables would be nice so you have a reason to venture off the trail of berries that lead to your goal. The game needs better optimization. I jump from 60 fps all the way down to sub 25 frequently. The camera feels like it's on ice.. it's a good game, bether then first. gj. It's better than the original, sure. But I can't really recommend it.Pros:Beautiful art styleBig world to explore.Much longer than the first game.Works great with an Xbox controllerIt's actually kind of fun :).Cons:Performance issuesLong loading timesTons of glitches (I once flew into the sky lol)CrashesWeird controlsBad camera (and you can't even invert it!)When you first start playing, you have no idea what to do or where to go (but it's open world, I know).Level design is meh. The world feels pretty boring and uninspired.Neutral:Music and sound design is... ok, I guess? A little boring and repetive at times. If you really want it, buy it on sale (like I did).
